Region: Wu Yi mountain, FuJian province, China
Description: Jin Jun Mei is a black tea that comes from the WuYi shan(China,FuJian province) National Nature Reserve. After several experiences with his team, Mr. Jiang YuanXuan (Lapsang Souchong’s inventor’s 24th descendant) developed the top-grade tea in 2005, by improving Lapsang Souchong. Even if it has less than ten years of history, it is known as the best black tea in China (and one of the best black teas in the world). Its tea trees grow in the wilderness of the Wuyishan National Nature Reserve. After elaborated hand-picking processes by tea masters, only 500 grams of tea is produced per 60 000 to 80 000 tea buds. Jin Jun Mei’s soup color is golden yellow; it tastes like a mixture of fruit and honey, naturally sweet. Take a sip and it would be as refreshing as being in a forest valley!
Preparation suggestions: 2-3 grams for 100ml of water at 95°C; infusing 3-4minutes; renewal for 5 infusions.
